Zero has a meaning
A zero cost says the product cost nothing. A missing value says the cost has not been supplied. Treating the two as equal can inflate profit.
Build a maintained SKU library
Save costs against the marketplace and SKU, then update them when procurement, packaging or product configuration changes.
Review exclusions
When a supported P&L view excludes missing-cost items, use that list as a practical queue for completing the data.
